Weddings have arrived at Ziptrek Ecotours! Our beautifully crafted and generous treehouses make the perfect open plan venue for the happy couple to start their life together.
Smaller intimate style weddings, such as elopements, are growing immensely popular due to the challenges with friends and family being unable to join in the celebrations due to travel restrictions. So, the opportunity to get married in a truly unique setting in arguably one of the most beautiful towns in New Zealand is now a reality.
You can also take the wedding day nerves and excitement to a new level with the option of a "Kereru Jump" post nuptials.
With the most incredible backdrop of Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables mountain range, your day will be totally magical and you don't even have to go far to capture the moment as our Treehouses and surrounding landscape also provide the perfect backdrop to create those unique wedding shots to last you a lifetime.

Wedding Logistics
Your special day is one you will remember forever so it is important that all the small details are taken care of which is why we offer a unique wedding venue for your intimate affair and the small print is important.
- Clothing will need to accommodate a full body harness.
- Closed toe shoes must be worn, however no stilettos can be worn due to the damage they would incur to our treehouse decks
- The whole course is in the trees with no access from the ground, only via the ziplines.
- Whilst both a helmet and harness is required to be worn on the ziplines to get you to the centre of the course for your nuptials, you are not required to wear them during the service on the treehouse deck. We have inventive ways to ensure that you are able to arrive at the venue looking ready for the big day.
- The Kereru Jump is an optional extra for you and your partner post the service (or even to end the service with!)
- Whilst alcohol is not permitted on tour, a celebratory toast will be allowed
- The Tree-houses allow for up to 10 persons per wedding party, however multiple groups can join together to meet at the Treehouse with a maximum of 20 persons
