Ziptrek's Annual Locals’ Day is BACK for 2024!
Join us from 10am on Sunday 10 November for a day of ziplining fun!
We're offering locals the chance to zip our 4 Line course for only $60 per person.
We’re even offering an opportunity to zip our steepest zipline (Line 6) for a Koha (donation). No need to pre-book just walk up or down the Tiki Trail on the day (and bring cash/card with you).
Local Southern Lakes and Central Otago residents have the chance to experience the eco-exhilarating fun of Ziptrek, at a significantly reduced rate, with 50% of ticket sales going to a charity in our community.
This Locals’ Day we have chosen to support local charity Sustainable Queenstown.
Proof of residence will be required at check-in. Gondola tickets sold separately (we recommend taking advantage of Skyline Queenstown's Gondola Annual Pass).
Groups for the 4 lines will start/finish at the Ziptrek Treehouse. Check-in at the Ziptrek Treehouse 15 mins prior to scheduled departure. If you choose to do Line 6 you will end at the bottom of the gondola. Allow 45mins-1hour for the 4 lines and 30mins-45mins for Line 6.
Minimum age 6 years. Max weight limit 125kg. Minimum weight limit for Line 6 - 30kg.
About Sustainable Queenstown
Sustainable Queenstown is an independent not-for-profit. A collaboration of thinkers, talkers, do-ers and activators all coming together to start conversations, inspire ideas and help our community to make better choices. Their four key initiatives centre around reducing waste, connecting people and celebrating the sustainable mahi in our town:
Green Drinks is Sustainable Queenstown's monthly event series! Running for over 5 years, they host speakers, workshops, outdoor excursions, films and social get-togethers that bring people, ideas and knowledge together over a drink each month!
DISHrupt provides reusable serveware for events; from backyard weddings to LUMA! Imagine an event without disposable food cartons and cups filling the bins. Say hello to DISHrupt from Sustainable Queenstown - disrupting our dependency on disposables. Since 2018, DISHrupt has kept over 50,000 disposables out of landfill by providing reusable dishes!
Resourceful Communities is their collaborative programme with Wastebusters - bringing the Repair Revolution, Slow Fashion Month, Low Waste Living Workshops and Plastic Free July activities to Queenstown. This annual programme of events celebrates slowing down, reusing and working together.
