ZIPTREK ECOTOURS NAMED AS FINALIST IN 100% PURE NEW ZEALAND EXPERIENCE AWARDS

Ziptrek Ecotours is stoked to announce their inclusion as one of 47 finalists in the 2021 Qualmark 100% Pure New Zealand Experience Awards.

This past week, 47 operators across 13 regions have been announced as finalists in the 100% Pure New Zealand Experience Awards.

The national tourism awards, presented by Qualmark, Tourism New Zealand, and Air New Zealand, aim to recognise tourism businesses that have overcome significant challenges in the current climate while contributing positively to their local communities.

To be eligible, operators had to already hold Qualmark Gold status – a title given only to the best sustainable tourism businesses in New Zealand – and entrants were required to demonstrate how their operations were guided against the three award pillars of manaakitanga (hospitality), tiaki (care – for the land and people) and whānau (family).

Ziptrek Ecotours is excited to be recognised alongside several other operators in the Southern Lakes region including Shotover Jet, Southern Discoveries, iFLY Indoor Skydiving Queenstown, Air Milford, and Sofitel Queenstown Hotel & Spa.

Chair of the Judging Panel, Sue Parcell, and her team were notably impressed with the high calibre of submissions for these awards.

"These are operators that have the elements of manaakitanga, tiaki and whānau firmly embedded in their offering and during the past 18 months they have continued delivering an outstanding experience for domestic visitors. What is more apparent is how these businesses have supported and engaged with their local communities and team members through a broad range of positive initiatives."

Ziptrek is thankful for our community, suppliers, partners and, of course, our manuhiri who have supported us through what has been a challenging past 18 months.

Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Christchurch on July 28th.

Thanks to Air Milford, the Southern Lakes finalists will combine forces and fly together as a team to Christchurch to attend the awards ceremony.
